We are the co-hosts of the Therapists in the Wild, a DBT skills podcast. Launched at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to contribute to healing the collective suffering, our mission is to make DBT more accessible.
We teach the skills that we use everyday, both with clients and in our own lives, and coach one another through how to apply them in different scenarios. In Season 1 of the podcast, we taught DBT skills from all four modules: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. Season 2 is focused on teaching how to apply the DBT skills introduced in Season 1 more generally to situations that arise in everyday life.
The overwhelming response to our podcast, particularly from other clinicians and professionals in related fields, motivated us to start a consultation service to help spread DBT, ACT, and CBT among professionals. We also aim to provide more general support during this challenging time. Therapists in the Wild is available anywhere you listen to podcasts. We hope you enjoy!
